Dubai welcomed more than 17 million foreign travellers in 2023 as per Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, surpassing the previous pre-pandemic record of 16.73 million visitors in 2019. The tourist arrivals in 2023 reflect a 19.4% year-on-year increase when compared to last year.

Convenient Visa Process

Dubai has a very convenient visa policy for most of the countries of the world. In 2024, citizens from 87 countries can travel to Dubai without a visa.

As for Indians, travelling to Dubai has become easier than ever with the introduction of a 5-year multiple-entry visa policy. India remains the top source market with the highest number of international visitors from a single country in Dubai. The introduction of this visa serves as a means to boost tourism and economic relations between India and Dubai.

The 5-year multiple-entry visa allows Indian tourists multiple entry and exit in Dubai. The stay is permissible for 90 days and can be extended once with the total number of days not exceeding 180 in one year. The processing time for this type of visa is 2-5 working days.
